We pick you up from the hotel (1.district only) and we drive first the Vienna Ring Road which is a circular grand boulevard and we will see many large public buildings, like the Opera house, Museum of Art history, House of Parlament, City Hall, University, Votiv Church build in either Classic Gothic, Renaissance or Baroque architecture

Heiligenkreuz is a Cistercian monastery, the oldest continuously occupied Cistercian monastery in the world, founded 1133

. The architecture of the monastery combines two styles; Romanesque and Gothic. The church contains 13th century windows. The relic was a present from Baldwin IV of Jerusalem, King of Jerusalem to duke Leopold V in 1182. The austere nave is a rare, and famous, example of Romanesque architecture in Austria…simple a  masterpiece, unique and worthwhile to see.

If we have some time left we will visit a Heurigen.  HEURIGER is the name given to a tavern in Eastern Austria where a local winemaker serves his or her new wine under a special license in alternate months during the growing season. The Heurige are renowned for their atmosphere of coziness shared among a throng enjoying young wine and simple food. Especially in spring and summer, you will enjoy sitting outside in the garden to enjoy this special atmosphere.
